Amazon Prime subscribers can now download and play Fallout 76 for free as part of the Prime Gaming service. The game will be available for download on Xbox consoles and Windows PC starting April 11th.
Fallout 76 is an online multiplayer action role-playing game set in the Fallout universe. The game is set 219 years after the nuclear war that devastated the United States, and follows a group of survivors as they attempt to rebuild society in the post-apocalyptic wasteland.
Prime Gaming is a service that offers Prime subscribers access to a variety of free games, in-game content, and other exclusive benefits. The service is included with Amazon Prime, which costs $12.99 per month or $119 per year.
To redeem Fallout 76, Prime subscribers can visit the Prime Gaming website and follow the instructions. The game will be added to their Amazon Games library, and they can then download and install the game from the Amazon Games app.
Fallout 76 is the third Fallout game to be offered for free on Prime Gaming. In March, Prime subscribers could claim Fallout New Vegas Ultimate Edition, and in February, they could claim Fallout 3 Game of the Year Edition.
The addition of Fallout 76 to Prime Gaming coincides with the launch of the Fallout TV show on Amazon Prime Video. The show is set in the same universe as the Fallout games, and follows a group of survivors as they navigate the post-apocalyptic world.
