England Kick Off Euro 2024 Preparations With 3-0 Victory

Palmer, Alexander-Arnold, and Kane Find the Net in St. James' Park Rout

England produced a much-improved second-half performance to secure a comfortable 3-0 victory over Bosnia and Herzegovina in their first Euro 2024 warm-up game at St. James' Park.

Making his first England start, Cole Palmer marked the occasion with the opening goal in the 58th minute, coolly slotting home after good work from Bukayo Saka down the left.

Trent Alexander-Arnold doubled the lead just three minutes later with a stunning free-kick that curled into the top corner, leaving Bosnia goalkeeper Asmir Begovic with no chance.

Harry Kane wrapped up the scoring in the 85th minute, converting a penalty after being brought down in the area. The victory will give England manager Gareth Southgate plenty of encouragement ahead of their second warm-up game against Switzerland on Tuesday.
